Signature Butterfly Cookies

One of our favourite things to make are biscuits and cookies!
You can get so creative with them and there shelf life is alot longer than a cupcake or sponge.

These days you can find so many interesting and diverse cookie cutters.

We have found a fantastic online store Everything But The Cake
They have many different shapes and catogories eg. animals, christmas and celebration occasion shapes.

Butterflies being our logo, this was the obvious start for us.

But of course the main thing with our biscuit is the texture and taste.

The delicious charms of our shortbread biscuits will leave you wanting more.
The fondant icing teamed with the buttery base is the perfect match to accompany your hot drink.

New Business Cards

We are very pleased to announce that our new business cards have been designed and printed.

Standard size business card. Designed by Sarah Wearn

Front of mini card printed by Moo

Reverse of mini card.

The mini cards are perfect for using as hanging tags on our packaging.

We are massive Moo fans and definitely recommend using them if you are looking to get business cards, postcards and labels printed. Every print you get can be different from the next, so its great if you want to show off a portfolio of work. An example of this is shown below.

A big thank you to Sarah Wearn, who designed our lovely business cards. She is very talented and professional! We highly recommend her.

Coffee and Walnut Cake

Coffee & Walnut Cake

Being my Dads favourite sweet treat of all time I thought I better do a post on it and even maybe give away my hidden recipe that he has always wanted to get his hands on....

All you need is love..... and a few other ingredients, which are;

3 eggs
200g butter
200g sugar
275g SR flour
vanilla pod
2 shots of espresso coffee

To make the sponge:
Cream together butter and sugar until very smooth.
Slowly add the eggs one at a time and not too quickly. (other wise the mixture will split)
The after the coffee has cooled down mix that into the mixture along with the vanilla.
Now all you need to add is the flour, so gently fold that in.
Put in a big (or small) tin and bake until light and fluffy!!

For the butter icing, just mixtogether butter ans icing sugar along with a bit more coffee  (to give it the darker colour) and get creative!!!

Enjoy.....   love Kirsty x
